2017 Ford Super Duty Specs, Engine, and Release Date
2017 Ford Super Duty Specs, Engine, and Release Date - When Ford pulled the wraps off the aluminum-intensive 2015 F-150 at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, the crowd gathered stop and then, almost in unison, whispering, "Huh. Looks pretty good. But they will never be able to pull a trick of light-alloy same Super Duty trucks with them. I mean, most of the people use their trucks to actually, you know, work. "Well, Ford went for it, and the result is the 2017 Super Duty seen here. There is no mistaking the 2,017 trucks for anything but a Ford Super Duty. Although fascia maintain the blocky, almost-futuristic same theme, Ford took the opportunity to move some things around and to fully commit to LED craze. Surrounded by LED driving lights, headlights own quad-beam illuminated by LEDs and has been pulled forward, leaving only the indicators turn to sweep back into the fenders. Grilles are previously hybridized Ford-truck styling efforts, utilizing two major graphic bar, now decorated with a perforation in some versions. Flare oversized wheels remain, although they are now being blended more smoothly throughout the body.
As with the F-150, aluminum is used as the main element of this Super Duty cab and bed construction, while steel is used for full frame box. (Model Chassis-cab get a frame hybrid that goes from the box completely under cab configuration for traditional C-channel behind it, to facilitate a wider range of configurations body aftermarket.) Consists of up to 95 percent high-strength steel, the frame is said to be as much as 24 times more rigid than the part that supported previous Super Duty. Ford said the "military-grade" aluminum used in the cab body more resistant to dents and dings of steel out Super Duty body. Combined, the new material shave up to 350 pounds of new rigs, Ford claims.

Engine choice has not changed much. Back is the 6.7-liter Power Stroke V-8 turbo-diesel, which tops the list in terms of horsepower and torque, and engine 6.2-liter V-8 gasoline, now paired with Ford TorqShift-G (which sounds more like the name of the group hip hop) a six-speed automatic transmission for the F-250 pickup, the first time this gearbox has been used with gas engines. Cab chassis offers a choice of 6.7-liter Power Stroke V-8 diesel, 6.2-liter gasoline V-8, 6.8-liter gasoline V-10. Although Ford did not disclose the number of horsepower, torque, or towing particular, it offered this tidbit somewhat ambiguous: ". Customers Super Duty will be able to tow and haul more than ever" Ford also touts "four more heavy-duty components wheel-drive, driveline, axles, and towing hardware "but did not release any details about the changes.
In addition to the jump from steel to aluminum bodywork, it seems 2017 Ford Super Duty strays very little from the formula that has made so much hay: Give a vehicle that is capable of a square jaw, muscular exterior and interior offers luxury level, and they will come. How "they" in this case and trailer haulers merchant-will seriously react to the introduction of the aluminum body will not be known until the truck goes on sale at the end of 2016.
